
Overview
The goal of the project was to create a stoplight parking sensor to replace the racquetball ball hanging from the ceiling.
A tower light with buzzer from Adafruit indicates relative distance and indicates when to stop when parking in the garage. based on distance data from the sonar range finder MB1010 from MaxBotix.
Electrical Design
The circuit was first breadboarded using the Arduino Uno. The tower light and buzzer are driven by 12 VDC so P2N222A transistors were used as switches on a 12 VDC supply.
The code was then flashed to an ATtiny84
